Version 12.2 of Home Assistant OS has been released. Home Assistant OS is a minimal, op Buildroot based operating system that makes it possible to run Home Assistant on a physical or virtual machine. Version 12.2 includes updating the Linux kernel to version 6.6.25 for most supported platforms and the following changes and improvements:

Home Assistant Operating System

  • Update Buildroot to 2024.02 (#3241)
  • kernel: enable MPTCP support (#3248)
  • Bump buildroot to update Docker to v25.0.5 (#3271)
  • Use Docker 25 for installing containers in hassio package (#3286)
  • Only run HA CLI interactively if stdout is a terminal (#3292)
  • Ignore non-existing CP15 barrier instructions emulation (#3285)

Raspberry Pi

  • Disable UAS via usb-storage.quirks on RPi for ADATA SD600Q (#3281)

Home Assistant Green

  • Linux: Update kernel to 6.6.25 (#3291)
