Hiren's BootCD is a self-booting DVD or USB that provides a Windows 11 pre-installed environment and comes with a host of programs to diagnose and fix hardware and software problems on the computer. Hiren is a notorious name, because the compilation CDs with system programs have been around since 2004. In the past, however, they were packed with pirated software, but on this Hiren's BootCD PE we only find completely free software. This edition is therefore not offered by the original group, but is curated by fans from the original series. The following changes and improvements have been made in version 1.0.8:

Hiren's BootCD PE x64 version 1.0.8:

• The outdated “bhtpcrdr.sys” driver for the “O2Micro CardReader” hardware has been removed and updated with the latest version. This hardware (commonly found in Dell laptops) was causing BSOD errors due to the outdated driver. The issue has been resolved.
• The outdated driver for the “Linksys WUSB600N Wireless-N USB Adapter with Dual-Band ver. 2” hardware was causing BSOD errors. The driver has been updated and the issue has been resolved.
