Download HandBrake 0.9.7

Version 0.9.7 of HandBrake has been released. Available for Windows, Linux and Mac OS X, this open source and multithreaded program can convert movie files to video files in h264 or mpeg4 image format and aac, ac3, mp3 or Ogg Vorbis sound format. In this release, support for blu-ray, ac3 encoding and audio downmixing has been added, among other things, and many components have been updated to new versions. Version 0.9.7 fixes several issues and includes improvements to some of the newer models from Apple’s stable.

HandBrake 0.9.7 Released!

We’ve decided to release an update for 0.9.6 that fixes a couple of common issues and adds a new preset for the AppleTV 3 and tweaks the existing iPad preset to support up to 720P.

Please note: It may be a day or two until the Ubuntu .deb files hit the PPA repositories.
