Download GSpot 2.70a build 20070222
Yesterday version 2.70 of GSpot was released. This is somewhat remarkable, because the previous version was the first release candidate of version 2.60. GSpot can analyze avi, mpeg and vob files and indicates, among other things, which audio and video codecs have been used and whether they are present on the system, the bit rate and the number of frames per second. It can also detect the presence or absence of B-VOP, Qpel, and GMC frames in DivX 5 files to see if a movie is compatible with a hardware DivX player, such as Kiss’s. In addition, GSpot can also provide an overview of all codecs installed on the system. New in this release is support for Windows Vista and it can now also partially handle mov and wmv files. The full changelog looks like this:
Changes in version 2.70:
- Windows Vista Compatible (tested on 32-bit version only)
- Added MOV and WMV support (not fully complete)
- Extended MP4 support including ftyp identification
- Many bug fixes
