With Google SketchUp, a 3d modeling program, it is possible to create a 3d model, provide additional information and send it to 3D Warehouse so anyone can use the model in Google SketchUp and Google Earth. When a model is developed based on available Google Earth maps, the location data is stored with the model. The developers have released the first maintenance release with version number 6.0.312 and with the following changes:

Version 6.0.312:

  • When launching SketchUp for the very first time, a crash could occur if auto-save kicked off in the middle of a draw operation. This crash should no longer occur.
  • When offsetting to create a zero area surface, SketchUp crashed. This crash should no longer occur.
  • When importing certain images after successfully importing other images, SketchUp crashed. This crash should no longer exist.
  • Entities on Layer0 which were inside a component/group were not properly respecting the visibility setting of the component/group layer. This issue has been addressed.
  • When printing a model with Sketchy edges and the “Use Model extents” option, the edges could be offset from the model. This issue should be fixed.
  • Previously, after launching Help, it was possible that a SketchUp process would not let go potentially slowing down future SketchUp sessions. Help should no longer hold onto a SketchUp process.
  • When printing for the very first time, SketchUp could print many pages. Printing should now behave for first time users.
  • When using Photomatch on the Mac, it was possible to crash SketchUp when right clicking on the Scenes tab and selecting the “Edit Photo Match” command. SketchUp should no longer crash in this case.
  • When exporting images on the Mac, sometimes the incorrect side of the face was exported. This issue should be fixed.
  • Previously, getting a model from the 3DWH would only import a SketchUp 5 model, even if the model was created in SketchUp 6. This has been fixed.
