Google has released an update to version 48 of its Chrome web browser. Google Chrome is available for Windows, Linux, and OS X. There are also versions for Android and iOS, but they follow a slightly different release schedule. In version 47, among other things, a presentation API has been added, buttons can be added to push notifications, Chrome is better able to determine the speed of the internet connection and WebRTC is now able to use the VP9 video codec. Of course, the necessary security vulnerabilities and bug fixes have also been implemented. This update fixes an important security issue.
