Download Gnome Partition Editor 0.4.4
A new version of Gnome Partition Editor was released on Thursday, 0.4.4. With GParted it is possible to partition a hard disk and change existing partitions, for example filesystem or size. The program itself isn’t that big, but it usually comes in the form of a live CD, so it can be used on just about any computer. However, the latest live CD available for download from SourceForge currently contains stable version 0.4.3-2 and test build 0.4.3-4But hopefully that will change soon. Below you will find what has changed in version 0.4.4:

- For GNU/Linux distribution dmraid support, the following are required:
- kernel built with Device Mapping and Mirroring. From menuconfig, it is under Device Drivers -> (RAID & LVM).
- dmraid drive arrays activated on boot (eg, dmraid -ay).
