Gizmo is a program that can be compared to the well-known Skype. But unlike Skype, Gizmo uses an open standard, namely SIP. You can use it to start a conversation with other users of Gizmo for free or to make and receive calls from a normal telephone for a fee. In addition, each Gizmo member receives a SIP number with which you can be reached for other SIP-based programs. For more information about this program, please refer to this page. The developers have released version 2.0.0.160 for Windows 2000/XP and 2.0.0.150 for Mac OS X 10.3.9 or later with the following changes:
