Software update Gigabyte confirms arrival of GeForce RTX 4070 12GB and RTX 4060 8GB

Gigabyte seems to confirm the arrival of an Nvidia GeForce RTX 4070 and RTX 4060. The company is adding support for those two video cards to its Control Center software, which allows users to set the speed of fans, among other things.

Support for the two unannounced RTX 40 GPUs appeared in Gigabyte Control Center version 23.03.02.01noticed tech website VideoCardz on. The update added support for a Gigabyte RTX 4070 Aero OC 12GB and Gigabyte RTX 4060 Gaming OC 8GB to the software. The company thus confirms, among other things, that the RTX 4070 will have 12GB of memory. The RTX 4060 should then have 8GB of memory.

Rumors have been going around for some time about the arrival of a GeForce RTX 4070 with 12GB GDDR6X memory. This video card should have an AD104 GPU with 5888 CUDA cores, in addition to a 192-bit memory bus and a 200W TGP. The RTX 4070 is expected to be announced on April 12 and released a day later. The RTX 4060 may have 3072 CUDA cores and therefore seems to have 8GB of memory. It is not known when that GPU will be released. According to VideoCardz, board partners expect this card to be released in May “at the earliest.”
