Download GetRight Pro 6.3c

Headlight Software has updated its download manager GetRight to version 6.3c yesterday. This program has a number of features to make downloading files faster and easier. Downloading the same file from different sources at the same time, if possible, allows the amount of available bandwidth to be used as optimally as possible. Furthermore, it also has the ability to download BitTorrent files and podcasts, and downloaded music files can be automatically added to playlists in iTunes or Windows Media Player. In version 6.3c, among other things, a wizard sees the light of day. It is launched after installation and helps to make the correct settings, test the connections and introduce new features. The full changelog of this release looks like this:

Changes in GetRight 6.3c:

• Added a “Brand New User” wizard. To help get some things setup right, test connections, introduce features, etc. (Combined some old separate windows with some new messages into one wizard).
• Changed so “Open” on the Save/Open uses the default folder for the files rather than the Windows Temp folder.

• Some BitTorrent fixes.
• Fixed to always use “Classic” graphics for Windows 95/98/ME/NT4. They don’t do the newer Alpha channel things so looked funny.
• Added a registry setting so you can change the place temp files are saved. HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\ Headlight\GetRight\Config TempFolder={FOLDER}
• Fix so will adjust settings for some sites that return an error code when resuming.
• Some changes to Pro’s Web Access so GetRight can be aliased/redirected–so it works if something like: redirects to the GetRight Pro port.
• Added extra “close window” timer to try and avoid any getting left open when Automatic downloading.
• Fixed so “Download Finished” tip window will disappear after moving.
• Fixed some refresh things on the Server Synchronizer windows.
