Version 10.1 of FreeFileSync has been released. This open source program can be used to back up or synchronize content from two different locations. It’s available for Windows, Linux, and macOS, doesn’t rely on things like Java or a .Net Framework, and it’s lightweight to use. The Windows installer contains separate 32bit and 64bit versions, and also offers the possibility to install a portable version. The following changes and improvements have been made in this release:

  • Fixed file list mismatch when canceling sync
  • Fixed delay when canceling folder existence check

  • Fixed startup delay when internet is offline (Linux, macOS)
  • Fixed crash when closing via the macOS Dock
  • Support installation without admin rights (macOS)
  • Fixed bcrypt.dll not found on startup (Windows XP)
  • Respect Content-Length header for HTTP requests
  • Support parallel folder traversal on Ubuntu 16.4
  • Fixed missing shared library dependencies (Linux)
  • Unified precompiled Linux binary packages
