Download fre:ac 1.0.24

Version 1.0.24 was released from fre:ac. Fre:ac is an open source and cross platform audio converter and CD ripper. Support is available for the most common lossy and lossless formats, including mp3, Ogg Vorbis, aac and flac. The program has been around since 2001, albeit under the name BonkEnc. In this new release, the flac codec has been updated to version 1.3.5 and the metadata of all audio CDs is now always preserved. The release notes for this release can be found below.

fre:ac v1.0.24

The new release updates the Ogg Vorbis codec to version 1.3.5 with added aoTuV 6.03 patches and introduces a flat titlebar style for Windows 8.x and 10. In addition, fre:ac 1.0.24 now retains the disc number metadata field when converting , fixes CDs being ejected automatically even if a conversion was canceled and adds mouse jitter tolerance to tooltips to make them display more reliably.
