Download foobar2000 1.6.16
While we are still working hard on version 2.0 of foobar2000, version 1.6.15 of foobar2000 has been released and, due to an error, 1.6.16 has also been released. This popular, lightweight music player can handle MP3, AAC, Ogg Vorbis, Flac, WAV and WMA, among other things, and has support for Replay Gain. Furthermore, the player can convert different formats, the program has extensive options to adjust the tags and the interface can be completely customized to your own needs. In addition, it is possible to use the functionality plugins expand. Downloads are also available for Android, iOS and macOS, but they have a different version number and release schedule. - Reverted 1.6.15 optimization with fast DSP reinitialization on manual track change.
This behavior breaks many third party components and can’t be enabled by default.
It’s now available as an option because it improves performance when using heavy-to-initialize DSPs such as new VST adapter.
