Download foobar2000 1.2.3

The final release of foobar2000 version 1.2.3 has been released. This popular, lightweight music player can handle MP3, AAC, Ogg Vorbis, Flac, WAV and WMA, among others, and has support for Replay Gain. Furthermore, the player can convert different formats and the program has extensive options to adjust the tags. In addition, it is possible to change the functionality using plugins expand. The changelog for version 1.2.3 of this release looks like this:

• Updated FFmpeg code to 1.1.1.
• FFmpeg DLLs now use unique names to avoid collisions with certain other software.
• Reverted problematic Media Library folder monitoring tweaks from 1.2.
• “Downmix 5.1 to stereo” DSP now accepts more different channel masks.
• FLAC decoding improvements:
  • Work-around for certain broken files producing loud glitches.
  • SSE optimizations to counter slowdown from the above work-around.
  • File Integrity Verifier component now detects such files.
• Worked around incompatibility with some very old Vorbis files.
