Download foobar2000 1.0 beta 2

The second beta release of foobar2000 version 1.0 was released on Friday. This popular music player can handle MP3, aac, ogg vorbis, flac and ogg flac, wav and wma, among others, as well as support for Replay Gain. The player can also convert different formats and the program has extensive options to adjust the tags. In addition, it is possible to change the functionality using plugins to expand further. Issues fixed in 1.0 beta 2

• Bug: Certain ASX playlist files are not parsed properly.
• Bug: Unwanted playlist view scrolling when deleting items in certain scenarios.
• Bug: cannot bind context menu commands to toolbar buttons.
• Bug: “initialization failure” errors when making a clean non-portable install rather than upgrading from an earlier version.
• Bug: possible unnecessary tag reloads on Media Library contents on startup.
• Bug: doubleclicking the Selection Properties element no longer brings up the Properties dialog.

Open issues

• Bug: foo_uie_biography is mistakenly reported as obsolete on startup.
• Incompatibility: “Open Containing Folder” context menu command crashes on Wine – this is a bug in Wine and will not be fixed on our end; please complain at Wine developers instead.
• Glitch: The playlist switcher toolbar dropdown list shows a vertical scrollbar regardless of being scrollable
