Flock is a browser based on Mozilla Firefox 2.0 and comes with various options for the user to interact with various social networking sites on the Internet. This browser includes capabilities such as bookmark storage and publishing via the popular del.icio.us web service, photo storage via the Flickr website, automatic RSS feed submission and organization, and direct support for writing blog posts. For more information and a demonstration of various features, please refer to this manual. The developers have released version 1.0.8 with the following list of changes:

New Flock Updates in 1.0.8:

1.0.8 adds a couple of bug fixes and enhancements with regards to importing in general and from Netscape specifically.

• The default home page will now import correctly on Macs when the Netscape is run from the installer DMG image.
• On Macs, if Netscape is set to be the default browser, Flock will now default to import that from that browser.
• In general, when importing into Flock the default home page import selection is from the browser being imported into and not Flock.

New Flock Updates in 1.0.6 and 1.0.7:

• Support Netscape 9 configuration migration directly into Flock.
• Allow Non-admin Windows accounts to install Flock. Please note that on Vista you will still be asked for an administrator password. Also, no Flock shortcut will be created on the desktop.
• Search plugins without associated icons no longer break the search flyout of the search box.
• Fixed Ctrl and Shift functions in the Favorites Manager.
