Download Filezilla 2.2.24

The developers behind the open source ftp client FileZilla released version 2.2.24 of their program yesterday. There really isn’t much to say about this program, it’s a small, but very complete and easy-to-use ftp client. For example, there is support for FTP, SFTP, SSL and GSS connections. The main change in this release is that the ‘Desktop’ and ‘My Documents’ are finally displayed in the ‘local directory tree’. The full changelog of version 2.2.24 looks like this:

New features:

• Local directory tree now displays “Desktop” and “My Documents”. (Patch #1492243 by cole945)

Fixed bugs:

• Fall back to local charset if login data contains non-ascii characters and login fails. Fixes compatibility with non-UTF8 aware servers
• Fix speed limits, limit could get exceeded if three or more files were transferred simultaneously.
