Download FastStone Image Viewer 2.6 beta 1

FastStone has just released the first beta release of version 2.6 of its Image Viewer. This program handles most common graphic file formats and supports the crw, cr2, nef, pef, raf, mrw, orf and dng digital camera formats RAW formats. In addition, some simple operations can be performed, including rotate (lossless for jpeg), crop, resize, remove red-eye, and adjust colors, contrast, and brightness. It can also generate a slideshow, possibly with music, and photos can be sent by email. New in this release is support for dual monitor setups. The full changelog looks like this:

New Features in this beta version:

• Can open all selected files in external program at a time (Press E key)
• Dual Monitor support (See “Dual Monitor” in the Settings. Screenshot).
• Now it is possible to:
  • Display thumbnail browser and Full Screen preview across two monitors simultaneously
  • Display slideshow in the secondary monitor
