Download FastPictureViewer 1.9 build 295

Version 1.9 build 295 of FastPictureViewer has been released. This program is aimed at the digital photographer and can be used to quickly and easily view and rate large amounts of images. There are no options to edit images, but the program does offer support for the raw format of more than 430 different digital cameras. Separate downloads are available for 32bit– and 64bitenvironments, and the program is free for non-commercial use. Since the previous entry in the Meuktracker, the following changes and improvements have been made:

What’s new in FastPictureViewer 1.9 build 295:

• The Black and White preview feature (B key) has been enhanced: new visual indicator has been added
• The Save As function (Ctrl+S) now saves as B&W when saving a B&W previewed image
• The View Filters features can now filter on B&W previewed images
• A new File Utilities selection condition on the B&W preview flag has been added (so it’s possible to copy/move/export B&W flagged images)
• The Convert and Export File Utilities actions now optionally honor the B&W preview flag.

What’s new in FastPictureViewer 1.9 build 294:

• A second regular expression substitution variable has been added for advanced renaming, {RegEx*}, which receives the full path as input (so it is possible to dissect the parent folder name(s) and use portions of them in the new name).

What’s new in FastPictureViewer 1.9 build 293:

• One of the late refreshes of build 292 required either Windows 8 or the Microsoft Platform Update for Windows 7 SP1 and Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1 and as such would not work on XP and Vista (or even on Windows 7 without the Platform Update). Build 293 removes this unintentional dependency.

What’s new in FastPictureViewer 1.9 build 292:

• Publishing to 500px.com was enabled in the web-publishing subsystem.
• Additionally, small bug fixes and enhancements were made throughout.
• Includes the latest raw codecs 3.4.0.77.
• This release also fixes some potential security issues and has been internally reviewed and rebuilt with the latest Microsoft Security Development Lifecycle guidance in mind.
• This version is now validated for use with the (highly recommended) Microsoft Platform Update for Windows 7 SP1 and Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1.
