Emsisoft has released version 12.7 of Anti-Malware and Internet Security. Anti-Malware protects against viruses and malware, while Internet Security also has a firewall on board. A license for Anti-Malware costs four tens and for Internet Security that is five. The programs are suitable for Windows 7 or higher and can be tested for 30 days. After those thirty days, the programs switch to free mode, which can scan and uninstall, but offers no real-time protection. In version 12, the detection of ransomware has been improved, among other things. The following improvements have also been made in this update:

New:

• Forensic log: a condensed timeline that shows all events and user actions in an easy to read form.
• Auto-resolve mode for behavior blocker alerts: an option that makes all decisions on its own.
• Anti-Malware Network lookups during quarantine re-scans, to reduce the number of false positives.
• General warning for possible compatibility issues with other already installed Anti-virus/Anti-Malware programs, during installation.

improved:

• Program startup and updater performance.
• Several minor tweaks and fixes.

Fixed:

• Issue that showed the scanner result window in scheduled scans even if silent mode was enabled.
• Application rules: ‘always block’ rules were not applied.
