Download DVD Flick 1.2.1.1
DVD Flick is an open source program that allows you to easily convert a multitude of movie formats to a DVD that can be played in the living room. For example, it supports the container formats avi, mpg, mov, wmv, asf, flv and Matroska, but also codec formats such as XVid, DivX, Windows Media Audio\Video, mp3, Ogg Vorbis and H264. The developers have released version 1.2.1.1 with the following list of changes:
Version 1.2.1.1:
- Added: Project information tidbits on the bottom right.
- Added: Check to see if the Windows Management Instrumentation service is started before trying to enumerate DVD recorders.
- Fixed: Project files with subtitles were not loaded correctly.
- Fixed: Wrong disc space requirement calculation if an audio source had a delay.
- Fixed: Some files used to produce choppy audio, tweaked audio encoding parameters.
- Fixed: Audio sources not sampled at 48000 Hz are now properly resampled (fixes many files not playing right).
- Fixed: Bug with OGM files and embedded subtitles\streams unknown to FFMPEG.
- Changed: When your disc is full, you can now opt to continue encoding anyway.
- Changed: Cygwin DLLs have been moved back to dvdauthor folder.
- Changed: Configuration and temporary file access is now specific to each user account, and stored in {userprofile}\Application Data\DVD Flick.
- Changed: Default project destination folder is now the user’s My Documents\DVD folder again.
- Changed: Minimum average video bitrate is now 2500 Kbit\s, and maximum is now 9500.
- Changed: Slightly updated recorder drive detection.
- Changed: Unused sources are no longer saved in a project file.
- Changed: Message displayed when a project’s disc was full so that it cannot be misinterpreted as a full hard disk.
- Changed: Updated DVDAuthor binaries to their latest versions (here I was thinking it had died).
Version 1.2.1.0:
- Added: Create chapters on every new video source.
- Added: Custom dialog boxes.
- Added: Automatic detection and fixing of AC3 or MP3 audio delay in AVI files, muxed by very naughty AVI muxers.
- Changed: New handling of configuration files. Thumbnails and source file properties are stored inside dfproj files (which are just uncompressed zip files) to speed up loading a new project.
- Changed: Cygwin DLL files are installed to the system folder to prevent version mismatches.
- Changed: Default output folder is now in the DVD Flick program folder to prevent access denied on another user account’s My Documents folder.
- Changed: Updated supported file type list.
- Changed: When moving a video source in a title, if it has any audio tracks that have audio sources with the same source file as the video they will be moved as well.
- Changed: Updated guide.
- Fixed: Proper calculation of average PSNR value.
- Fixed: Use as defaults button on the project settings dialog.
