Drupal is a versatile content management system that works on a large number of platforms. The program can be accessed via modules be provided with additional functionality and by using themes a different layout can be attached to the cms. For example, it is possible to maintain a news site, forum and/or a collaboration site with Drupal. The developers have released two new versions in the 6.x and 5.x branches that close a security vulnerability and fix a number of minor bugs. The version numbers arrived at 6.6 and 5.12 respectively with the following announcement:
Version 6.6:
The sixth maintenance and security release of the Drupal 6 series. Only fixes for security vulnerabilities and other bugs have been committed. New features are only being added to the upcoming Drupal 7.0 release. This release fixes security vulnerabilities. Sites are urged to upgrade immediately after reading the security announcement:
