Download Dropbox 1.2.42 experimental RC

Dropbox is an online storage service that makes it possible to synchronize files between different computers. In addition, files and photo albums can be shared with people who don’t have Dropbox accounts. Clients are available for Windows, Linux, Mac OS X, iPhone, iPad, Android, BlackBerry, and Windows Mobile. A free account gives you access to 2GB of storage and for ten or twenty dollars a month that’s 50 and 100GB respectively. The development phase of the 1.2 branch, which is often referred to as experimental, is almost at an end and a release candidate has appeared with version number 1.2.42. Its changelog can be found below.

Changes in version 1.2.42:

• Fix issue with auto-upgrade on OSX creating app with wrong permissions.
• Remove debug logging from Finder integration to improve performance.
• Fix issue where LAN sync would still send messages after being disabled.
