Download Dropbox 1.2.26 experimental

Dropbox is an online storage service that allows files to be synced between different computers. In addition, files and photo albums can be shared with people who don’t have Dropbox accounts. Clients are available for Windows, Linux, Mac OS X, iPhone, iPad, Android, BlackBerry, and Windows Mobile. A free account gives access to 2GB of storage and for ten or twenty dollars a month that is 50 or 100GB respectively. A new development version was released on Monday with version number 1.2.26 and since the previous entry in the Meuktracker, the following changes and improvements have been made:

Changes in version 1.2.26:

• Removed debugging assertions in Finder plugin.
• Added safeguards to protect Finder plugin from waiting on Dropbox forever.

Changes in version 1.2.24:

• Fix “stack misalignment error” in 1.2.23
• Fix Finder crash that would happen during network settings or scrolling in list view

Changes in version 1.2.23:

• Fix regression in 1.2.22 that caused icon overlays showing up on non-Dropbox files in the Finder.
• Fix regression in 1.2.22 that caused Finder crash due to dragging files between folders

Changes in version 1.2.22:

• Fix Column View, and Arrange by views in Finder integration.
• Fix the “assertion error” crash, finally 🙂
