Download Driver Sweeper 2.1.0

Driver Sweeper has been updated to version 2.1.0. This program is a tool to clean up old drivers. When installing new drivers, it is usually advisable to remove the old versions first, but an uninstall does not always remove all files from the old driver. Using Driver Sweeper after uninstalling the old driver and restarting the computer not only removes any remaining files, but also cleans the registry, driver cache, and driver.cab. The biggest change in this release is the resolution of the desktop icon issue under Windows 7. Below is the full changelog for this release:

  • icon:last – Uses the last known backup.
  • icon:first – Uses the first known backup.
  • icon: – Uses the backup known from date and time as can be found in the item list.

• Changed clean parameters to -clean:”NVIDIA – Display”.

• Exception while trying to restore desktop icons.
• Desktop Icon not working properly on Windows 7.
