Driver Sweeper is a tool for cleaning up old drivers. When installing new drivers, it is usually advisable to remove the old versions first, but an uninstall does not always remove all files from the old driver. Using Driver Sweeper after uninstalling the old driver and restarting the computer not only removes any remaining files, but also cleans the registry, driver cache, and driver.cab.

It’s been quiet around Driver Sweeper for a while, but now it’s clear why. The author is working on the development of version 2.0.0 and the program has been completely overhauled. For example, at least version 3.5 of the .Net Framework is now required and the program can handle more versions of Windows, including the 64-bit versions. Not too long ago the second beta release of Driver Sweeper came out and below are the changelogs for both the first and second betas:
