Download doPDF 7.2 build 353

Softland has released doPDF version 7.2 build 353. This program installs as a printer driver and makes it possible to easily create PDF documents from any program with a print function. The software is free for private and commercial use, does not require Ghostscript to do its job, and does not add any watermark or advertisement. Only in the screen for choosing the location to which the PDF document should be written, there is an entry to novaPDF. This is a similar program from the same makers, with more extensive options, but it is not free. New in this release is the ability to save documents with high image quality.

doPDF 7.2.353 released

A new major version was released, doPDF 7.2 build 353. It contains one important feature, now on the Save As dialog you will be able to select between a “Small file” and a “High quality images” filter. Each of these filters basically uses a different compression engine for the documents:

• Normal ZIP compression for the Small file filter
• High JPEG compression for the High quality images filter

By default the “Small file” filter will be selected, but if you’re not happy with the quality of the images in the resulting PDF, then you should use the other filter (which increases the size of the resulting PDF).

You can download the new version from our main mirror (even if the text still shows 7.1 in there, it’s actually version 7.2 but it takes a while to propagate).
