Download doPDF 6.2 build 289
Softland released doPDF 6.2 build 289 on Wednesday. This software installs as a printer driver and makes it possible to easily create PDF documents from any program. The software is free for both private and commercial use, does not require Ghostscript to do its job, and adds no watermark or advertisement. Only in the screen where the location has to be chosen to save the PDF document is a reference to novaPDF, a similar program with more extensive options from the same creators, but it is not free. Below you can find what has changed in the program since the previous entry in the Meuktracker:
What’s changed in doPDF 6.2.287:
- Update: Added option to embed fonts in the resulting PDF file
NOTE: By checking the Embed fonts option, the resulting PDF file will be considerably larger because it will include in the PDF the fonts used for the creation of the text. However, font embedding also ensures that the text in the PDF will look the same on other computers where it is opened, even if the fonts used are not present on that computer. - Update: Added informational page in the start menu group (describes how to create PDF files)
- Minor fixes
What’s changed in doPDF 6.2.288:
- The Save PDF dialog window behavior modified when the file already existed (if the file existed and No was pressed when asked to replace it, the OK button didn’t do anything).
What’s changed in doPDF 6.2.289:
- Corrected behavior when printing specific images from Google Chrome (32-bit bitmaps with alpha channel)
- When printing from Crystal Reports the name of the PDF will not include “Crystal Reports – ” anymore
- Minor language updates (some new strings translated)
