Download Directory Opus 12.32
GPSoftware has released version 12.32 of its file manager Directory Opus. This program is in a way comparable with Total Commander, but with more extensive options about exactly what information should be displayed and how. Directory Opus is versatile and extremely configurable, both in terms of functionality and appearance. That is also the biggest problem, because the program can seem complex, especially to novice users.
The program can 60 days being tested; after that, a license must be purchased for 89 Australian dollars, which amounts to approximately 55 euros. Since version 10.2 there is also one less extensive version, for the equivalent of 30 euros. The changelog for this release shows the following list of changes and improvements:
The following changes were part of the 12.31.1 beta update:
- Added Resolution to the non-editable metadata section for image files.
- Fixed file type editor crash when holding Ctrl or Shift and scrolling the mouse wheel over the list of actions.
- Change to help with performance issue when UNC paths were added to Favorites and the tree was configured to show favorite folders in different colors.
- Added workaround for duplicate Notepad++ context menu item on Windows 11.
- Blocked PowerToys Source Code (Monaco) viewer by default, preventing it from taking over text files in the preview pane.
- Fix for crash if a script add-in closed the file display while processing an OnBeforeFolderChange event.
- The NanaZip context menu now works properly in Opus.
The following change is new for 12.32:
- Made text viewer slightly more strict about which files it will attempt to view.
