Download Directory Opus 11.6
GPSoftware has released version 11.6 of its Directory Opus file manager. This program is similar to Total Commander, but with more extensive options about exactly what information should be displayed and how. The program nestles deep in Windows and is therefore more intended as a replacement for Windows Explorer.
Directory Opus is versatile and extremely configurable, both in functionality and appearance. That is also the biggest problem, because the program can certainly come across as complex to novice users. Directory Opus runs on Windows XP and above, and is available in a 32-bit and a 64-bit version. The program can be tested for 60 days; after that, a license of 89 Australian dollars has to be purchased, which amounts to about 60 euros. Since version 10.2, there is also a less extended version, which costs just under 33 euros. The release notes for version 11.6 can be found below.
This update includes all the changes in the 11.5.x betas:
Additionally it includes the following fixes:
- Fix for folder tree not updating to show added or deleted folders if the parent folder is a Favorite folder and Favorites are shown in the tree.
- Fix for status bar script error icon not showing if the status bar definition ended with a linefeed
- Fix for status bar error icon not responding to clicks when flashed “off”
