Download DHTML Menu Builder 4.9

xFX JumpStart has just released DHTML Menu Builder 4.9. With this program you can quickly and easily create professional looking Dynamic HTML menus for a website without having to write a single line of code yourself. The code generated by this program is said to be 100% compatible with Internet Explorer 4, 5, 5.5 and 6.0, Netscape Navigator 4, 6 and 7, Opera 7, Safari and Konqueror. Some examples of menus that can be created with this program are at this one page to find. The software is available in normal and Lite flavors, with the former costing $65 and the latter switching hands for $25. The differences in options are explained in more detail here. Changes in DHTML Menu Builder 4.9.016:

• Fixed several problems with the “Install Menus” dialog:
  • The splitters will no longer cause the contents of the different panes to get cut (no clipping).
  • The list of files can now be properly sorted by date and size.
  • The headers for the files list pane are now properly displayed (no clipping).
• Fixed bug with the Menus Report tool as it wasn’t properly calculating the time required to download the menus.
• The HelpViewer application will now order search results correctly.
• The “Selection Delay” parameter will now work on toolbar items as well allowing the mouse to pass above both toolbar items and commands without changing the selection.
• Added support to compress the generated .js files using GZIP. This can reduce the .js files by up to a third of their original size.
• Included three new AddIns:
  • RollerEffect2: This is a new version of the RollerEffect which implements a smoother animation.
  • HideOnClick: Projects compiled with this AddIn will only hide the menus when clicking on the document.
  • HideOnMouseOut: This AddIn will hide the menus when the mouse is moved away from them. This is the standard behavior of the menus but this AddIn will allow the menus to maintain this behavior even when the mouse pointer position is unknown; a common situation is when the menus appear over an iframe.
