The developers of Deluge have released a new version of the open source BitTorrent client. Deluge makes of libtorrent and PyGTK used as the backend and user interface respectively and provides the standard capabilities expected of a BitTorrent client today. Furthermore, it is possible to extend the functionality of Deluge using plugins. The program has meanwhile arrived at version number 1.1.2, which is available from this page for various Linux distributions can be downloaded. Deluge is also available for Windows, but 1.1.2 release has not yet been compiled for that operating system. The changelog since Deluge’s last entry in the Meuktracker is posted below:
