Download Dead Pixel Tester 2.50

Data Product Services released version 2.50 of Dead Pixel Tester on Wednesday. With this program, as the name suggests, so-called dead pixels in LCD screens or pixels that are ‘stuck’ can be easily detected. The program also contains a so-called ‘exerciser’, which in some cases makes it possible to repair dead or lazy pixels. DPT is released as freeware, but because the number of donations is disappointing, some advertising messages are now displayed for the first time at the bottom of the control panel. In addition, there is now the possibility to apply marks to the screen, new test and calibration patterns have been added and the pixel exerciser has been improved. Becasue DPT earns us no revenues, and donations are few and far between, we have added a couple of small sponsor banner adverts into the application now, and we hope that these are of some interest to you. This is a small attempt by us to try and earn some extra revenues, becasue like the rest of the world we are hit by this recession as well. However version 2.50 does includes some natty new features, including a Marking facility, new screen test/calibration patterns and a couple of new illusions. We have also done some work to improve the pixel exerciser, and would love any feedback as to if this fies your screen.
