Download Data Crow 2.9

Yesterday, the developers of Data Crow put a new version of the program online. This time it concerns version 2.9, which via this page can be downloaded in different versions. Data Crow is written in Java and allows you to maintain a database containing information about CDs, DVDs, software, books and music files. In this way it is possible to maintain your own database with the CDs, DVDs, software, books and music files that you own. Data Crow automatically retrieves the necessary data from the Internet and collects it. It is also possible to adjust the appearance of the program and to print your collection. The Data Crow 2.9 changelog looks like this:

• Bug: Unacceptable high memory usage for list views
• Fix: A smaller version of the images is stored (alongside the normal version). The smaller version is used in the list view, saving memory and increasing the performance.
• bug: [1577577] db upgrade 2.8.7 -> newer fails
• Bug: Error in the states, category, platform and storage media forms. Opening an existing item did not show the icon
• Bug: Rarely occurring bug: item window won’t close
• Bug: Images not shown in the PDF reports

• Bug: Nullpointer in report for item with empty rating

• Fix: Smaller versions of the images are used, reducing the PDF reports to a mere tenth of the original filesize
• Bug: After deleting the properties file Data Crow asks to upgrade the software platforms which has been done already
• Bug: Nullpointer exception in the update all
• Bug: Audio tracks in the table insert view incorrect; it does not work at all
• Bug: Remove on Audio Track doesn’t work (removes the new audio CD instead)
• Bug: Clear on new tab with table view did not work correctly for Audio CD’s with tracks
• Bug: Missing help for the Look & Feel dialog
• Bug: Delete not working for audio tracks
• Bug: Double loading of tracks / Flickering on screen when changing between Audio CDs in the table view

[Known issues]

• Track lengths are unavailable when using the Amazon online search for audio CDs. This will be fixed by implementing the MusicBrainz online search.
