Dameware Development has released version 7.3.0.0 of Dameware NT Utilities. The programs are intended for remote management and administration of Windows workstations, servers and domains. The NT Utilities consist of a very extensive Active Directory Object Browser and the programs Mini Remote Control and exporter. The software can be fully tested for 30 days before purchase. The main changes in version 7 are support for ipv6 and nat traversal, there are separate 32 and 64 bit downloads of the Mini Remote Control and the program can be started from an external source, for example a USB stick. In version 7.3.0.0 the following changes and improvements have been made.

NT Utilities:

• Added “Configure” button for DMRC Service install.
• Added ability to remove DNTU’s automation context menu from O/S Shell Menu (ie right-click/New/DameWare NT Utilities menu).

Mini Remote Control:

• Minor Protocol Revision. Current v7.x users will not be forced to update the DMRC Client Agent Service on the remote machine, provided they are already running version 7.0 or above. A red warning dialog will be displayed instead. However, we recommend you update the Client Agent on the remote machine as soon as possible. Otherwise, some features may not work properly. Version 6.x Clients will require a forced upgrade.
• Changed Group Membership logic on Client Agent Access Tab to be “Must be a member of 1 or more groups”, instead of “Must be a Member of ALL groups”.
• Moved Event Log message text to a separate DLL file, to prevent Event Viewer from locking DWRCS.exe during installation or upgrade of the Service.
• Screen occasionally would not update after logon on Windows 7. Fixed.
• In some rare cases, DMRC.DBF would not convert properly and DMRCCv2.db would be blank. Fixed.
