Download Daemon Tools 4.09

Version 4.09 of Daemon Tools has been released today. This program can mount various image files of CDs or DVDs as virtual drives, so you don’t have to constantly change discs. Moreover, this way there is less background noise and you generally have faster access to data. This version of Daemon Tools comes with SPTD version 1.43 and can also handle StarForce version 4.70 and has support for encrypted image files. The full changelog for this release is as follows:

• Support for compressed and encrypted *.mds images which soon will be created by Alcohol and DAEMON Tools Pro.
• Support for compressed and encrypted *.isz images created by UltraISO.
• Fixed some minor issues with image autorun, autostart option etc. (also HKCU is used now instead of HKLM).
• Added “Check for updates” option (periodically checks for new version at each tray start).
• Internal virtual drive engine enhancements.
• Fixed installation problems on Dell systems with Embassy Trust Suite
