Download D7 3.8.1

D7 is a program that can be used to fix all kinds of problems in Windows, remove malware and back up personal files and settings. The program itself is not large, but it uses a large number of external tools, which are also regularly used here in the Meuktracker, such as Hitman Pro, Malwarebytes Anti-Malware, HijackThis and the various tools from Piriform. However, D7 is a powerful tool that also injury can do and is therefore mainly intended for the experienced PC technician. In addition, it is still under development and should be regarded as beta material. Since the previous entry in the Meuktracker, the following changes and improvements have been made:

Changes in version 3.8.1:

• Hopefully fixed secedit.exe not running under some circumstances…
• Hopefully fixed Repair > Windows Update Svcs. where it may not have been stopping the BITS service before trying to repair it.
• misc. small stuff, terminology, added refresh button to drive box in DataGrab, etc. etc.
• Added KillEmAll.scr to full D7 download.
• Fixed D7 Auto not waiting on Defraggler on Maintenance tab.

Changes in version 3.8.0:

• Now clicking the Minidumps found on the Offline tab will open BlueScreenView for that offline minidump folder.
• I THINK I fixed FixIDE.
• Offline tab D7 Auto now deletes temp files first.
• Added feature to unhide desktop icons (the reg setting, not hidden files) to the Remove Policies and Reset Hidden Volume functions.
• Added feature to do the above on every D7 start, but it is bundled with the next new feature.
• Added feature to toggle hidden files to ON with every D7 startup. (Can be disabled in D7 Config).

Changes in version 3.7.9:

• Fixed retrieval of External IP.
• Fixed random issue with D7 Stress test crashing D7 on start.
• Added some functions to Reset Networking Interfaces.
• Made adjustments to repair WMI/WBEM function.
• Removed D7 Auto warning as issue seems to be fixed.
• Some stability fixes.
