Spread the love

CoreTemp has been updated to version 0.99.8 this weekend. This small, free program can identify and monitor your computer’s processor. CoreTemp is able to display the temperature of the individual cores, which not many other programs can. At the moment, only the more modern processors supported, including the Phenom, the Athlon64 and the Turion64 from AMD, and the Core and the Core 2 from Intel. The collected information is written into a log, so that it can later be converted into a graph, for example in Excel. The changelog of this release shows the following changes:

New:

  • Completely new settings dialog, much clearer and easier to use.
  • Added Hibernation to Overheat protection options.

Fixed:

  • Mobile Intel Core2 Quad processor recognition issues.
  • Pentium Dual-Core E6000 series model detection was incorrect.

Updated:

  • TjMax adjusted to 100c (Intel’s specs) for 400 and 500 series Atom processors.
