Spread the love

Versions 0.98 and 0.98.1 of Coretemp were released on Tuesday. With this small and free program the processor of the computer can be monitored. Coretemp is able to display the temperature of the individual cores, something not many other programs can do. At the moment only the more modern processors are used supported, including AMD’s Phenom, Athlon64, and Turion64, and Intel’s Core and Core 2. The collected information is written in a log so that it can later be put into a graph, for example in Excel. Below you can see what has changed since version 0.97.1:

Changes in version 0.98.1:

  • Fix: Incorrect recognition of 45nm Intel CPUs in version 0.98.

Changes in version 0.98:

  • Fix: Core Temp sometimes crashes when another program tries to access the log file – still needs further testing.
  • Add: Show load percentage per core.
  • Add: Adjustable Tj.Max value via *.INI file.
  • Add: Option to start Core Temp with Windows.
  • Add: Support new Intel Mobile processors
  • Change: Maximum logging interval is now 99999ms instead of 9999ms.
  • Change: Log file layout. Shows current temperature, high\low temperature, core load, CPU speed.
