Spread the love

CoreCodec has released a new version of its CoreAVC video codec. With this codec it is possible to transfer files in the h.264format to view. CoreAVC is efficiently programmed and extremely fast, in some cases even faster than comparable hardware facilities. CoreAVC is available in an eight dollar standard version and a fifteen dollar professional version. The latter offers support for interlacing and for multicore processors as extras, while the support for CudaGPU acceleration is now finally a fact. To use the latter, the computer must have an Nvidia GeForce 8 card or higher, and driver version 182.0x or higher must be installed. Below is the full changelog for version 1.9.0:

Added:

  • NVIDIA CUDA accelerated video decoding (Thanks NVIDIA!!!)
  • NVIDIA CUDA detection to installer
  • Tray icon showing NVIDIA CUDA state (green=in use, blue=not in use)
  • Tray icon mouse over shows 32bit/64bit states
  • Initial installer changes for 32/64bit
  • Updated Haali Media Splitter

Fixed:

  • Focus bug related to MCE
  • Focus prevention when the tray icon is off
  • Improve seeking on frames with one IDR frame
  • Various small bugs

Haali Media Splitter (20090111)

  • The shortcut for gdsmux is created in the start menu
  • Broken Matroska files with looped SeekHeads could cause a hang in Matroska Parser, the number of SeekHeads is now limited to 10
  • Removed the workaround to find tags written by Matroska Shell Extension, this caused excessive file scanning when opening files created by recent MKVToolnix
  • File linking is now enabled by default
