Comodo is busy developing a total package for securing a computer. Its upcoming Internet Security release will merge the Firewall Pro and Antivirus packages. Other Comodo products will be added later, such as Memory Firewall and Diskshield. The developers have released the second release candidate of Comodo Internet Security with 3.5.53518.419 as the complete version designation. The corresponding brief list of customizations looks like this:

What’s New in RC2?

• FIXED! BSOD when virtual drives with mounted Windows Image(*.wim) files browsed
• FIXED! Firewall rarely detects the wrong application
• FIXED! Right Click Scanner does not detect malware
• FIXED! Right Click Scanner hangs while scanning empty folders
• FIXED! Manual scanner does not detect malware if an old configuration is imported and used
• FIXED! Logging does not work under some non-english operating systems

We have also fixed many small bugs in this release.

• IMPROVED! Default Defense+ security level has been slightly elevated to defend against more threats
• FIXED! CIS stucks while scanning some files

• FIXED! Wrong date/time of the last update is reported
• FIXED! Many small visual/textual bugs

Known Issues:

• Automatic updating before manual scanning is inactive
• AV scanner might stop functioning when certain files are scanned

This product is a BETA product intended for BETA testers. Please don’t use it in a production environment.
