Download CheckPOInt 5.0.2

OABsoftware has updated CheckPOInt to version 5.0.2. This program is made for the PDA to warn in combination with Tom Tom Navigator when you come near a so-called Point Of Interest (POI). Main application of this program is warning about speed cameras. CheckPOInt works best with Tom Tom Navigator 5.1 or higher and if you are still on version 5.0 it is strongly recommended to to update† When upgrading from CheckPOInt 5.0.1 it is possible that the error message “CheckPOIntToday.dll is in use” appears, however it can simply be ignored. Changes in version 5.0.2:

• Solved the remainder of the instability problems.
• Enhanced the installation procedure.
• The plug-in for the Today screen is now automatically activated, and uninstalling CheckPOInt now removes all installed files.
• It’s no longer possible to synchronize when TomTom Navigator is running.
  This was done because synchronizing while TTN is running sometimes leads to file locking problems.
