It’s been quiet around Central Brain Identifier for a while, but Showshock Softnology released a new version today. This is the first beta build of version 8.3, and the download can here are being found. This program is intended to identify the exact model and type of processor of an AMD equipped computer. CBId displays detailed information such as core name, revision and voltage, frequency, rating, cache size, and PowerNow technology used. In addition, it is also able to make some tweaks to the L1 cache, the Clock Control Register, the memory timings and there is also the possibility to adjust the HyperTransport clock frequency. This release adds the necessary items to the list of recognized processors again:

Central Brain Identifier 8.30 R1 has been released! The latest version brings identification for many new AMD64 NPT family processors, such as:

  • Athlon 64 X2 76W Processor – ADI5200IAA5DD
  • Athlon X2 45W processor
  • Sempron 45W Sparta code-named processor
  • Sempron 35W processor

Besides, the new CBId has a significant improvement as to recognition of Sempron 62W and 35W processors revision F. The following AMD64 processors are recognized as well:

  • ADA3200IAA4CW
