The sixth beta of Central Brain Identifier 7.3.0 has already been released on Cbid. This program allows AMD processors to be identified. The program recognizes more than fifty models and provides detailed information such as core name, revision and voltage, frequency, rating, cache and PowerNow technology. In addition, it is also able to perform some tweaks with regard to, for example, the L1 cache and the Clock Control Register. In this release, recognition has been added for the AMD Sempron and AMD Athlon 64 FX processors based on the 0.09 micron Palermo and San Diego cores. The full release notes look like this:

Added identification for AMD Sempron and AMD Athlon 64 FX processors based on 0.09 micron Palermo and San Diego cores. Added preliminary support for the nVidia nForce IGP chipset and the VIA KM400 chipset. Which memory timings are available to change, please see in the Techinfo section. Added P-Rating calculation for Athlon’s 64 which are based on the Winchester core. Fixed a bug in the setting of Halt and Stop Grant divisors higher than 256. A current release has a changed procedure for determination and modification of tCL DRAM timing of the nForce2 chipset.[break]
