Download CCleaner 6.20

Piriform has released version 6.20 of CCleaner. This program can clean up various parts of Windows. This includes temporary Windows and Internet files, but also unnecessary junk from a large number of other programs, including Windows Media Player, Google Toolbar, Microsoft Office, Photoshop, WinRAR and so on. In addition, the number of programs that CCleaner can clean up the mess can easily be expanded with the CCEnhancer program.

In addition to cleanup, CCleaner can also fix registry and shortcut errors, customize the list of programs that start with Windows, and manage cookies. From this version onwards, the overall condition of the computer can also be tested. In addition to a free version, there is also a pro version, which offers, among other things, an automatic update function. The following changes and improvements have been made in this release:

Taking the hassle out of PC maintenance

• We've improved cookie cleaning for Chromium browsers.
• We've added new cleaning rules to remove bookmarks backup files for all Chromium browsers.
• In the new version of Software Updater, you can now close the dialog box that shows the list of running programs to leave them running and omit them from the scan.
• We're continuing to test the new version of Software Updater via Health Check with a growing set of users.

Fixing bugs and other improvements

• We've resolved an issue where bookmark backups from Opera (GX) were not detected on Windows 7 and 8.1.
