Download CCleaner 6.04

Piriform has released version 6.04 of CCleaner. This program can be used to clean various parts of Windows. This includes temporary Windows and Internet files, but also unnecessary junk from a large number of other programs, including Windows Media Player, Google Toolbar, Microsoft Office, Photoshop, WinRAR and so on. In addition, the number of programs that CCleaner can clean up the mess can easily be expanded with the CCEnhancer program.

In addition to cleaning, CCleaner can also fix registry and shortcut errors, customize the list of programs that start with Windows, and manage cookies. From this version, the overall condition of the computer can also be tested. In addition to a free version, there is also a pro version, which offers, among other things, an automatic update function. The following changes and improvements have been made in this release:

Taking the hassle out of PC maintenance

• In Health Check, the scan now ignores files that were modified less than a minute ago
• We’ve made some small usability tweaks to Performance Optimizer and Cleaning Schedule

Fix bugs

• Fixed CCleaner re-enabling Windows System Restore on every launch; going forward, System Restore will only be activated if enabled via Driver Updater
• Fixed all drivers disappearing from lists after closing ‘Restart Now’ popup
• Fixed an issue causing backups to be removed due to an access rights issue
• We now require restarts for reverting as well as updating certain drivers (fixes issue where the scan gets stuck at 0%)
• We’ve fixed some visual issues that occur when Windows is scaled above 100%
• We’ve added a reporting tool that will help us to identify the most common crashes and their causes
