Download Caliber 7.2

Version 7.2 of Caliber has been released. This open source e-book management tool is available for Windows, Linux, and macOS. It can, among other things, look up all relevant information and cover images, and convert e-books to make them suitable for various types of e-readers. Furthermore, the program can convert newspapers, magazines and news articles into e-book format based on RSS feeds. Books can also be purchased with Caliber from well-known online stores.

In version 7.0 is the ability to add notes to, for example, authors and series, and is support for epub audiobooks added. Additional files can also be added to books, such as an alternative cover image, and Caliber now has its own trash can, which can be used instead of the one in the OS. The following changes and improvements have also been made in this second update:

New features

• Content server: Also listen for all incoming IPv6 connections by default, not just IPv4.
• Book details: Allow deleting notes from the right click menu easily.

Bug fixes

• Windows: Edit book: Fix a crash when using the check book tool with a book that contains malformed markup, in caliber 7. Closes tickets: 2045133.
• Windows: Improve flickering at startup due to a Qt regression in caliber 7.
• Windows: Fix moving the main window causing popup/floating windows to be resized in caliber 7 due to yet another Qt regression.
• Fix detection of existing books on the Tolino Vision 6. Closes tickets: 2044659.
• Linux: Fix external applications not being launched under Wayland in caliber 7 because of a bug in Qt.
• Linux: Fix network requests failing under Fedora in caliber 7.
