Download Caliber 3.9

A new update for version 3 of Caliber has been released. Caliber is an open source and cross platform ebook management program. Among other things, it can look up all relevant information and cover images, and convert e-books to make them suitable for the various types of e-readers. Furthermore, the program can convert newspapers, magazines and news articles based on RSS feeds into e-book format. Books can also be purchased with Caliber at the well-known web stores. The program is under active development and a new version is usually released every other week on Friday. In version 3.0 little has changed in the appearance of the program. There is, however, a completely new content server and there is support for screens with a high resolution. The following improvements have also been made in this release:

New features

• Remove the Connect to iTunes function since Apple has removed that functionality from iTunes. Now you have to use one of the wireless connection methods to connect to an iPad/iPhone, as described here.
• Kobo driver: Support for new firmware
• Allow changing the icons in yes/no columns via column icon rules. Close tickets: 1721374.
• Quickview panel: Add a context menu with a “View” action to the book table.
• Make the elapsed time display in the jobs dialog more human friendly. Close tickets: 1719059.

Bug fixes

• EPUB Input: Fix styles in existing titlepage not being flattened when the titlepage is preserved during conversion. Close tickets: 1720715.
• Fix conversion of grayscale JPEG-XR images not working. Close tickets: 1720638.
• Update the douban metadata download plugin to match changes to the website
• DOCX Output: Fix the preserve cover aspect ratio option not visible. Close tickets: 1719026.
