Download Caliber 3.18

A new version of Caliber has been released. Caliber is an open source e-book management program and is available for Windows, Linux, and macOS. Among other things, it can look up all relevant information and cover images, and convert e-books to make them suitable for the various types of e-readers. Furthermore, the program can convert newspapers, magazines and news articles based on RSS feeds into e-book format. Books can also be purchased with Caliber at the well-known web stores. The program is under active development and a new version is usually released every other week on Friday. In version 3.18, the following improvements have been made:

New features

• Browser viewer: Allow long tapping a word to look it up in a dictionary or search the internet for it. Close tickets: 1738995.

• Conversion: Handle the deprecated type attribute on
  tags. Close tickets: 1751148.
  1. Fix metadata download from amazon stopped working because of a website change.
  2. Fix re-ordering of columns causing split book splitter state not being restored on restart.
  3. Fix errors when using strftime with unicode strings on non-utf-8 windows systems. Close tickets: 1749219.
  4. Split book view: Fix vertical scroll position of the two views getting out of sync after doing some searches. Close tickets: 1748739.
  5. Fix some edit widget appearing in the wrong place when editing in the right hand panel of the new split book list. Close tickets: 1748713.
  6. Portable build: Fix cache directory not always being auto-created. Close tickets: 1747887.
  7. Workaround for Qt 5.10 on Linux resetting the global font, preventing custom interface font settings from working.
