Download Caliber 2.50

Version 2.50 of Caliber has been released. Caliber is an open source and cross platform ebook management program. Among other things, it can look up all relevant information and cover images, and convert e-books to make them suitable for the various types of e-readers. Furthermore, the program can convert newspapers, magazines and news articles based on RSS feeds into e-book format. Books can also be purchased with Caliber at the well-known web stores. The following changes and improvements have been made in this release:

New Features

• Change the way that devices are detected on Windows. This fixes device detection problems on some Windows 10 computers.
• Edit Book: When inserting images, add an option to insert the image as a full page image.
• DOCX Input: Add support for framed text created by setting the same border style on neighboring paragraphs. Close tickets: 1526663

Bug Fixes

• DOCX Input: Fix empty paragraphs with borders being rendered with an empty line inside the borders.
• ODT Input: Fix fallback PNG images generated by LibreOffice 4.x for SVG images not being ignored.
• Fix restore library failing on some windows systems with non-ascii library paths
• Edit Book: Fix error when merging an empty HTML document or one that contains only text and no tags. Close tickets: 1535427
• Fix failure to add FB2 files that contain published dates. Close tickets: 1535007
• Use a private certificate when downloading plugins over HTTPS. This fixes errors on some windows machines that have missing root certificates.
• Fix tag editor not working correctly for comma-separated custom columns.
• Fix existing rating not being removed when using Polish Books or Embed Metadata tools on EPUB files. Close tickets: 1534597
